HUNTERVILLE RAM FAIR.
Thero was the usual attendance of buyers at the Hunterville Ram Fair. There was a keen demand for good Romneys and the highest price paid was for a line offered on account of Mr W. E. Baker, of Makino, which realised seven guineas. The balance of this vendor's rams sold readily from 4Jgs to 6;lgs. A small lot of Southdowns were purchased by a Taihape farmer for £5 os each. A nice line of 2-tooth Lincolns, on account of Mr R. Bremer, sold from 3gs to 4jgs. Competition was especially keen for good lots. Amongst the sales were:— ROMNEYS. On account W. E. Kraiger, 1 at 4£gs, 2 at J. Maher, Ohingaiti, 1 at sgs, 1 at 4|gs; Gahan and Sons, 2 at 4£gs; W. Williams, Taihape, 2 at sgs; D. Meads, Pakihikura, 2 at 4Jgs. On account D. G. Furlong, Bunnythorpe, 8 2-tooths.—A. Abbis, Rewa, 1 at 3Jgs, 1 at 3£gs; W. Williams, 1 at 3Jgs; G. Kraiger, 1 at 3Jgs, 1 at 3gs, 2 at 4gs; H. Stent, Sandon Block, 1 at 3gs.
