The Rangitikei Racing Club's r Spring Meeting was commenced yes- | - torday in ideal weather. Tho tracks ; were in good order and some hue [ racing was witnessed. The meeting ■ was well conducted, and the catering of Mr A. J. Hart, of Feilding, gave " great satisfaction. The tota-lisator returns showed a falling off, only , £42bS being invested, as against ' °" first day of last year. • Thirteen bookmakers paid fees total- * ling £201 10s.
