New York, March 29. I resident Tait in. a message to Congress says that negotiations regarding the application of the maximum or minimum tariff have been substantially completed with all nations. Ihe results are satisfactory. Ihe President asks for an approor a Tariff Board.
Ottawa, March 29. . J- He Canadian newepapers are divided concerning the results of the negotiations. It is understood that the reductions are applicable to all countries. Canada's tariff is elightly reduced on a small number of articles.
London, March 29. The Times' Toronto correspondent mentions that there is a strong general opposition, to airy formal negotiations with Washington for more extended trade relatione.
