WEDDINGS.

QUARME—THOMPSON

At the Primitive Methodist Church yesterday, Mr Stanley James Quarrie, of Halcombe, was married to Mies Phoebe Clarissa Thompson, eldest daughter of Mr J. C. Thompson, of "Tasma," Denbigh Street, Feuding. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. W. Jones, assisted by the Rev. J. Sharp. Friends of the bride had nicely decorated the church for the wedding. The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in ivory satin, trimmed with Limerick lace, and she wore the customary veil and orange blossom. Miss Lydia Thompson (sister) was the bridesmaid, dressed in lavendar and cream voile, and two little pages carried the bride's train. Mr J. McLennon supported the bridegroom as best man. Mrs P. Morphy presided at th organ, and played Mendelssohn's Wedding March as the parties left the church.

After the ceremony the party and friends assembled at the residence of the bride's parents, where a reception was held. The Rev. J. Sharp presided. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed, and other toasts were the bridesmaid, parents of the contracting parties, the friende and helpers, and the press. A large collection of valuable and useful presents was received.

Mr and Mra Quarrie afterwards left for their new home at Halcombe. The bride's travelling dress was a costume of grey, trimmed with r>ink and cream, with hat to match.
