SLAUGHTERMEN AGAIN

PER PRESS ASSOCIATION

Auckland, March 0. The slaughtermen's assistants at the Southdown Works of the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company, went on strike yesterday, claiming higher wages and preference of employment for unionists.

Auckland, March 7. ' A fresh gang of men have Been engaged, and start work this morning. They will join the Union first.

It is believed that this move will not end the trouble.
