William John Davius \va& charged with drunkenness (tho tecqud time he vwe before the Court this woek), JUid was convicted and fined 10s. Thos. Wood was found guilty of a similar oil'enco, and was convicted and fined sn. CkaxJes Wood had to answer the charge ol drunkenness and the. serious olfenco of using obscene language in a public place. On tho finst ho was convicted and lined on. On tho second he elected to be summarily dealt with, and was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment. Thos. Scott was convicted and fined ss, with Sn police expenses, for imbibing too freely, and Petor Grantlay aud flotoa Remeno wore each convicted aaid discharged for a similar offence. At the Court yesterday William Heap was charged with stealing a razor, pocket knife, and two sticks of tobacco, at Halconibe. Ho elected to be summarily dealt with and was found guilty and sentenced to seven days' imprisonment.
