ALDINGTON STOCK SALE.

Christchurcu, December 1. Fat Cattle. — Steers realised £7 to £10, heifers £5 Ids to £ti> and cows £5 to £8 7s tid. Best steer beef realised 21s to 235, medium 18b to 20s 6d, and cow beef i/s 6d per 1001 b. In veal calves there was a fair entry, principally of puny animals and average demand, prices ranging from 4s 6d to £2, according to age, quality, and condition. Fat Lambs. — Prices were easier, and a decline equal to Is 6d per head on prices ruling the previous week haa to be recorded. Despite the large yarding, nearly all the lots changed hands, the number gassed being only 135. The best class realised 12s to 14s 6d, and lighter 8s (3d to 11s 6d. Store Sheep. — Ewes, wo^Hy and mostly aged, with lambs, made 7s lOd to 9s 6d; shorn ewes, with lambs, 19s 2d, all counted^ four and six-tooth ewes, shorn, 9a 33 o 9s 4d; ewes m wool, with lambs, 10s 6d to. 13s Id; shorn crossbred ewes, 8s; shorn halfbred ewes, 13s 9d; ewe hoggets, m wool, with lambs, 10s 6d; two-tooth wethers, shorn, 9s 7d to 10s lOd; four and six-tooth wethers, 13s 8d to 14s 2d; four-tooth wethers, 'very forward, 13s 3d to 14s 2d; cull shorn wethers, 8s 4d; wether hoggets 10s 8d. Pics.— Choppers made to ±-o ius, heavy baconers 46s to 50s, and lighter 38s to 45s (equal to 4d to 4id per lb), heavy porkers mado 34s to 375, and lighter 30s to 33s (equivalent to 4id to 4Jd per lb). The demand tor stores, of which there was a medium entry, showed au improvement, especially for the smaller sorts. Medium stores made 22s to 30s, and smaller 18s to 20s, small weaners made 10s 6d, and good sorts to 15s 6d. Fat Sheep.— Woolly wethers 19s 9d, woolly hoggets 17s 10d, woolly ewes 15s to 18s 3d, prime shorn wethers 15s to 16s 6d, lighter 13s to 14s 6d, prime shorji ewes 12s 6d to 14s 7d, others 8s to 12s, shorn hoggets 12s 6d. Store Cattle. — Yearlings made 365, 15 to 18-months 42s bo 52s 6d, twoyear steers *•* Is to £4 13s, threeyear steers £5 15s, 2^-yoar steers £4 17s 6d," and dry cows 20s to £4 9s, dairy cows £3 to £9 15s.
