FEILDING MARKET REPORT.
Messrs A. H. Atkinson and Co., On Saturday last we held a most sucof fair quality, and a large entry of poultry. Fruit and general produce was also in fair quantities. Pigs sold at rates about on a par with last week's quotations, porkers selling well. Fruit all round made rather better value. Poultry sold remarkably well. Large consignments of peaches and pears have again, come to hand too late for Friday's auction j this necessitates selling during, the Meek at prices considerably below Friday's auction values. Quotations: Pigs: Weaners, 5s ~6d to 7s; slips and small stores. 9s 3d to 13s 6d; better sorts up to 21s 6d; porkers, 245, 25s up to 30s. Horses: Aged gelding. £2. Poultry at each : Rooster chicks, lOd, hens Is 6d, Is 7d, Is 9d, and up to 2s ldj small roosters, Is; grown birds, to 2s Id; ducks, Is 9d Is lOd, 2s Id, 2s 4d to 2s sd; geese, 2s 9d to 3s; turkey hens, poor, 3s 9d. Produce: Algerian feed oats, 2s Id Fruit: Prime pears, 4s 3d to os 6d per case; indifferent, 2s 9d; damson plums, 2s 6d to 3s; tomatoes, half cases, Is 6d, full, 3s 6d to 3s 9d; apples, 2s to 3s; potatoes, 4s per 90 lb bag full, sacks, 8s to 9s. Marrows, 3s 6d to 3s 9d; onions, fd to Id per lb; cabbages, 2s to 2s 3d per sack. Sundries: Gig harness, £2 7s 6d. Wagonette, £20. Chaff sacks, 3s 6d per dozen.
