THE WOOL MARKET. LATE NOTES FROM BRADFORD. (From our Special Correspondent.) London, January 22. My correspondent at Bradford writes as follows ou the wool market : — . There has been little alteration in the market in regard to wool and tops during the week. If the position has altered at all it is in merinos, and here only slightly, but it is said that anyone meaning business can purchase at terms a shade more favourable than last week end. There is, however, no great amount of business passing, and in fine and stronger cross-breds the prices are about stationary. Staplers have been finding more enquiry for English wools and less difficulty in seeming the advances where business is done. Stocks two exceedingly light, and values to-day are very firm. At the Bradford Mechanics Institute last week Messrs Hoose and Ruthven offered for sale by auction 1200 packs of fleeces and 12,0001bs of botany tops and noils. There was a large' attendance, and bidding was very brisk.
