Notes and Comrntnts.
That time flies quickly is indicated by the numerous contests of a public nature that now are coming at us with the rapidity of a sunrise. Tomorrow night, for instance, householders are to. meet to elect members for the Technical School Committee for the ensuing year. This is an important matter, for it means much to the cause of technical education in this town if men Avho have its interests at heart offer themselves for the year's service. The present Committee has done good work during the past year, much of the work being of •an organisiing nature. Their experience thus gained should not be lost, and it would be a fitting tribute to them and an expression of confidence if householders re-elected the Committee. Very soon we shall also have to elect a Mayor for Feilding, and also a complete Council, the two years' term for which the present councillors were elected having almost run its frill course. A Licensing Committee election is also near at hand ; and we understand that both sides are organising for this latter interesting contest.
