Groombridge, of Fergusonstreet, Feilding, who confines his trade to Confectionery, has made most extensive preparations for the Christ-' mas season. Besides his own manufactured goods, he has just opened a very largo stock of colonial and imported confectionery of the most alluring descriptions, framed in dainty surroundings and the most beautiful adornments. It is possible to purchase charming gifts at prices incredibly low, while the novelties he has opened up would delight the heart of the most artistic. A great novelty is the Christmas pudding of confectionery made by himself, attractive in appearance and pleasant to the taste. A visit to the establishment will prove the best solution of the Christmas present difficulty. CAKES AND CONFECTIONERY FOR CHRISTMAS. Mr A. J. Hart has developed the refreshment, catering and confectionery business taken over from Mr Grantham in Manchester-street to such an extent that its old owner would not recognise it. This has been accomplished by the "fact that the stock made on the premises and imported is only of one quality — the best — and whether it is in making a wedding cake of the most extensive dimensions or the most trifling triumph of the baker's art, Mr Hart seems to be a master of his craft. An inspection of the window to-day is convincing proof of the reason for the faith customers have in the estabOislhnent, for there is such an array of iced Christmas and New Year cakes and dainties the pastrycook delights in tempting folk with as have never been seen in Feilding before. The window is well worth seeing and resi- i dents will be wise not to miss the '" chance of inspecting it. ; .. . . i
