PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT.
PLUTOCRATS HARBINGERS OF ANARCHY. HE IS UP AGAINST THEM. THE FLEET AN EXHIBITION OF* POWER. [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH — COPYRIGHT.] [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] New York, March 20. President Roosevelt, interviewed by a representative of the Paris Le Temps, justified his crusade against plutocracy and anarchy. He added that if plutocrats were allowed to convert the country into another Tyre or Carthage, they would be harbingers of anarchy. The President stated that the Pacific fleet would return home immediately after visiting Australia. The object of the cruise was to make Americans understand that the fleet was a great and important factor in maintaining a world-policy; also, he wished to show the Powera the strength of the United States.
