It is probable that the Minister of, Education (Hob. Cteo. Fowlds), will open tbe Feilding Teohnioal School on Tuesday, March 10. Air Fowlds will be returning from Auckland on that day, and will come to Feildjng by the 3 o'clock express. On his way to tbe Cheltenham factory with the Apiti cream yesterday, Mr T. Fowies met with rather an .exciting experience. On the read between Apiti and Kimbolton the smoke was so dense tha£"Mr Fowlea found himself , surrounded by. fire, and it not ijeen for his preaense of mxnd in galloping through it, the result might have been very disastrous.
