, m DISTURBANCE IN CHRISTCHURCH. LECTURER CHASED THROUGH THE STREETS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, February 9. Late last night a disturbance took place in the city, due to a crowd of people taking offence at some remarks made at an open-air lecture, alleged to be a Mormon. The speaker and his associates were set upon,, and chased through a number of street^ by the crowd, but were eventually rescued by the police.
