MISS MARIE HALL.
! This evening, at the Opera House, ! Palmerston. Miss Marie Hall, the famous violinist©, whose Australian 1 and New Zealand tours have been a succession of triumphs, will make her first appearance in Palmerston North. Amongst women players she has been conceded first place, while, I so far as the other sex is concerned, she has often been compared with Kubelik. Her power is said to be extraordinary, while her tone and expression are also; said . to be remarkable. She is equally at home with, all great composers and with ttfl classes of music Some indication of her wide range is afforded by programme provided for this evening which is published elsewhere in these . columns. Miss Hall has a majestic personality, and one critic has remarked that she captivates even those who make it a rule to admire nothing. Miss Lomie Basche, pianist, will play as piano solos, Nocturne, etude G flat valse A flat (Chopin), and Liebestranm and. La Campanella (Liszt). Only one conoert can be given in Palmerston, Miss Hall appearing to-morrow night at Wanganui.
