At the conclusion of the concert supper was handed round. . About 60 couples stayed to the dance, and altogether a pleasant evening was spent. What might have been a serious accident occurred to Mrs Duncan, who was driving up from Feilding with her son and Miss Duncan. It appears that when they arrived opposite Mr J. Buckman's, the horse stumbled through a hole, in the road, and Mrs Duncan was thrown out right under the horse, which plunged about considerably before Mrs Duncan got clear, and she got considerably bruised and shaken, although not seriously. __ v
