SALE OF DAIRY STOCK.
Although clearing sales of dairy stock have been somewhat of a surfeit in this district lately, it is known that the outside market and demand is stronger than for some years past, and that the advent of an improved and now thoroughly tested and satisfactory milking machine must tend to create a strong demand for milking cows. The sale near Feilding of Mr R. Robinson's whole herd of 74 cows, on Tuesday next, affords a present opportunity for securing the pick from a really first-class line of animals, which will in a month's time have reached their very prime for the production of the maximum quantity and quality of milk. Mr Robinson has taken the utmost care with his herd, and with long experience has now a line of cows it would be hard to beat in the district. Intending bujprs will be conveyed from the town by brake, leaving after the arrival of the 12.16 North train. A feature of the sale will be the number of pigs offered, which will be taken to and trucked at the Feilding station if desired. The sale starts sharp at 1 p.m.
