The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Feilding, report as under for week ending 20th inst. : — Rangiwahia, Tuesday. — The yards were well filled with sheep, but few cattle came forward. Sheep met with a dragging sale, lambs being the only description of sheep which sold. Feilding, Friday. — We had a good entry of lambs, which met with a keen demand, and we effected a good clearance. The enquiry for reeding ewes was also active. Quotations: — Rangiwahia. — Sheep: Cull ewes in lamb, ss, 8s 3d, 9s; wether lambs, 12s; ewe lambs, 13s; mixed lambs, 10s 9d; 4 and 6-tooth wethers, 17s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 15s; f.f.m. ewes, 19s. Feilding. — Sheep : Lambs, mixed, 13s Id. 14s, 14s 6d, 16s. Cattle: Springing cows. £3 10s. £4 10s; fat cows, £2 15s, £3 19s 6d; store cows, £1, £1 10s. Gorton and Son report: — At Feilding sale, yesterday, there was a large attendance of buyers, both local and from Wanganui and Taranaki districts. We had a large yarding of sheep, and a fair number of cattle. Bidding for all classes 'if sheep was spirited, especially for Icmbs and good breeding ewes, which bbowe<! a decided rise on last week s quotation. A very attractive lire of Lincoln-Ronmey 2-tooth ewus, in lamb, bred by Mr E.. J. Riddifonl, and sold on behalf of Hr Tab Harris, realised 30s. We quote: — Sbeep. — Two-tooth to i f.ui. mv«««, in lamb, 18s sd, 19s 7d and 23s 3d; 4 year ewes, in lamb, 23a (Si : f«. . ewes, in lamb to Southdovn lain*:, 14s 7d; f.m. ewes, in lamb to EL. rams, 12s 4d ; old empty ewes,* 6s 10c! ; empty ewes, 9s 9d, 10s < ! d ami 13s 10(1: fat and forward &w&, Ws; roixed lambs, 12s 6d to 13s 6d: eve lambs, 16s 4d ; small cull lauilv, 5s 8d to 9s 4d; store wethers, Uh (id and 18s. Cattle. — Mixed weaners and yearlings, 24s 6d ; poor weaner heifers, 7s; forward bullocks, £4 19s 6d to £5 10s; 25-year steers, £4; fat cows, £3 16s and £4 ss; springing heifers, £3 6s 6d, £3 7s 6d, £4 10s; bulls, 30s to 355. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Feilding, report on their sale held yesterday:— We had a good yarding of sheep, very few cattle putting in an appearance. All classes of stock realised good prices, and showed a decided improvement in favour of vendors. We quitted the whole of our entry. Quotations : — Sheep. — Four and 5-year ewes, in lamb, 21s; up to s.m. ewes in lamb, 17s 7d, 18s 9d. 19s, 20s; empty ewes, 13s; fat and forward ewes, los 8d; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 17s 4d; medium hoggets, 13s 9d; cull do., 9s Id; empty halfbred ewes, 9s, 9s 3d. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report: — We had a good yarding of sheep and a small .one of cattle. Four to 6tooth aad f.m. ewes in lamb 18s, 2tooth to f.m. ewes- in lamb 17s 7d, cull lambs 6s, empty cows 32s 6d. There was a keen demand for sheep.
