AMERICA'S FLEET.
[AT ttBCTKHJ T&LCOKAVS— OOPTBIOB9,| [«a run Ammnmtm 2 (Reoeived July 20, 8 a.m.) New York, July 19. The New York World attribute* to President Roosevelt the statement that he has given no order to the Navy Board to send the battleship fleet to the Pacific, and is unaware that the Board has issued any such order. The fleet will proceed on a cruise early in the fall or the year for the purpose of engaging in manoeuvres. It may go to the Pacific, but the destination has not yet been determined. The plans hare absolutely no significance. In regard to the Japanese question, which President Roosevelt does not consider serious, the World expresses the belief that President Roosevelt 'will not consent to send the fleet tothe Western Coast, and declares that the Jingo demonstration is finished. It attributes it to the ridiculous 4th of July bunkum talked by Metoalf , secretary to the Navy. The newspaper add that there are some signs of California's beginning to regret the campaign and trying to appease the ill-feeling.
