PRESBYTERY OF WANGANUI.

The abovevpresbytery met yesterday at Pahnerstbn^. and continued its sitting last night ffad this morning - in order .to dispose of al^ accjun^fc-_^ tion of Presbytery and MaorTTttiiiion business. There were present, Revs. McCully, JoUy, Bow. Budd, Hutson, Jordon, Hall, Gunn, RyJburn, Fletcher, Walker and Messrs Scott, Tucker, Brechin, Aitken, Murray, Mcßeth. Houorse, Kilgour, McCan and Bishop. Commissions were received from St. Andrew's, Wanganui, in favor of Mr 6. Scott; Taihape, Mr Bishop;' Turakina, Mr B. H. Simpson; Bulls, J. Kilgour. Apologies were received from Bey. A. Merton and Messrs R. K. Simpson and A. 6. Simpson. Clerk— Bey B. McCully, of Turakina, was appointed clerk. Moderator— Bey. B. Huteon was chosen moderator for the ensuing 6ix months. , Bey. G.Budd was appointed "Outlook" reporter for the meeting. Minute re decease of Bey. J. Doull was read and agreed to. A letter of thanks for sympathy from the parents of the late Mr Cyril Boseveare was read. * Call from Bulls.— A call, signed " by 37 members and 47 adherents, was submitted from Bulls in favor of Bey. Evan G. Evans, of Mahurangi. was sustained. The stipend offered was £175 with a promise that if Carnarvon be added to the charge, it would be £200. Messrs Steven- - sen and Kilgour appeared in support of the call. It was agreed, that if Mr Evans .accept the call, that the induction take place at the next ordinary meeting or Presbytery, the Presbytery to meet at a time suitable to the circumstances. It was further agreed that if the call be acoepted, Bey. G. Budd conduct the public service, Bey. B. Hutson induct, Beys. Byburn and Jolly address the congregation, and the minister respectively. « The Bey. A. Doull. of Otahuhu was asked to appear before the Auckland Presbytery in support of the call. The usual reports of stations were rendered by the different moderators, and the showed satisfactory progress^ in almost every pipe. Beys. Byburn and Hutson reported on their visitation to Rewa, Halcombe, and Marton, and suitable deliverances there auent were passed. It was arranged that Mr HaU read the deliverance for Bewa, Mr Walker that for Halcombe, and that Mr Budd read that for Malta. Beys. McCully and Budd, and Messrs .Bartholomew and Murray were appointed a subcommittee to consider the position at Halcombe and report. In the evening, a publio meeting was held in St. Andrew's HaU, when able and interesting addresses were given by Revs. Ryburn, 'MgCully, . and Mr Bishop, on church extension work. The Presbytery met as Maori Mission Committee this . morning, transacting a considerable amount of important business of a private nature.
