THE PROFESSIONAL TEAM

[pee press association.] Auckland, Wednesday. Enquiries made by the Star elicited the fact that the" professional football team will visit England and play the Northern Counties as arranged, and the combination will be a strong one, including a large proportion of "All Blacks." The Aucklanders who signed the declaration required by the Rugby Union, are understood to have taken legal advice before doing so. They were informed that it would not make them subject to any legal liability in the event of their taking part in the professional tour. Three or four Aucklanders are known to" be going with the professional team. They are amongst the foremost players in the colony, though their names are withheld from publication. The team is due to arrive in England about September 6th.
