LOST OVERBOARD.
■ • — [PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, May 28. Tho schooner Morning Light, which arrived at Lyttelton from Collingwood yesterday after a stormy passage of 17 days, lost a man overboard when N.N.E. of Lyttelton Heads. The schooner shipped a heavy sea over the port side at about 11 p.m. on Saturday and the man was carried off. A life buoy with lights attached was thrown to him, and he was seen about 40 feet astern swimming for the buoy when a heavy sea struck him and he sank. The man shipped as Charles Roberts, ; but it is stated that his real name is Harold Rolfe, formerly of H.M.B. Prometheus.
