[PBB PRBSS ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, May 27. The weather is bitterly cold, and rain is frequently faUing. Gore, May 37. The weather throughout Southern Otago has become very cold and bleak during the past few days, frequent snow and sleet showers having fallen, and the rivers are in a state of flood. Christchurch, May 28. A gale raged aU last night, and in the early evening snow feU to some extent, but melted immediately. Not much rain feU. but it rained this morning when the gale abated. Gisborne, May 28. The heaviest sea known for is running on the East Coast. Hupping operations were suspended today. A fierce south westerly gale is raging.. Real winter weather has been experienced in this district the last few days— boisterous winds, gold ram and low temperature. At 8 o clock, this morning the thermometer was down to 46 degrees. . . Snow fell at Kimbolton last night to such an extent that the whole countryside was covered to a depth of three inohes this morning.
