Fire Brigade Plant.
Unless the plant now held by the Feilding Fire Brigade is at once vested in the Borough Council, a great injustice will have been done to the people who provided the money for the purchase of the plant, as the ■ latter will not be taken into account in assessing the Borough contribution^ As the Captain of the Brigade has stated that there is no intention of doing anything else with the proceeds of the sale of the plant, except to hand over the money to the Council, there should be nothing in the way of carrying that out, why this has not been done before, we cannot understand, unless the Brigade desired to air their grievances against those members who resigned in the open Court. The Palmerston Brigade has already taken action in regard to the plant, and passed a resolution to hand over to the Council all the plant, gear, and working uniforms in their possession. The Council agreed to accept the transfer of the plant, etc., to liquidate the liabilities (some £60) of the Brigade, and to have a valuation of the plant made.
