WANGANUI RACES. [PUI PBBSB ASSOCIATION.] Wanganui, May 23. The weather is fine for the opening day of the Wanganui Jockey Club's Winter Meeting. The attendance is very large, and the track in good order. Borough Handicap— St. Bill 1, Flimsnap 2, GawainS, The winner led all the way. - Won easily by a length. A head separated second: and third. Time, Imin lftjec. Dividends, £9 and £1 14s. Wanganui Steeplechase — Nadador 1, Itangitoto 2, Eclair 3. Evenlode and Romany King were scratched. A grand race. Westward, Narcissus and Irish fell. Irish was leading half a mile from home, where he looked all over a winner, but fell. Won by two lengths, easily. Dividends, £4 9s and £2 Bs. Electirc Hack— Toa Tuhi 1, Motoa 2, Gauze 3. Scratched— St. Maria, Chicane, Somali, Blue River and Waitaraka. The start was a straggling one, Engraver and Idealist being left at the post. Won by a length and a hajt: Tjme, |mjn Ifjsec.. ;
