MANAWATU RUGBY UNION.

The Management Committee of the Manawatu Rugby Union met last evening. Present —Messrs Gibbons (in m the chair), Fraser, Armstrong, Freeman, McLean, Manning, Stagpoole, Torstenson, and the secretary. An apology was received from Mr Keeling. Referee Harper reported having ordered a player (Robinson) off the field on Saturday with the recommendation that Robinson be leniently dealt with. —Decided to suspend Robinson for one month from date. A. Dunn's application re his disqualification not entertained. Palmerston and Feilding Clubs were fined 2s 6d for playing in other than club colours. The application of B. Webb, H. Jones (Kia Toa) and M. Royal (Old Boys) for reinstatement from senior to junior. —Not granted. Clubs to be written to for their last year's balance-sheets with names of defaulting members. The matter of filling the vacancy on the Union held over till next meeting. All Clubs to be asked to nominate delegates, same to close Monday afternoon. Letter from Ashhurst Club to be forwarded on to Referees' Association. Secretary was instructed to forward copy of Accident Insurance rules to Poverty Bay Union. Palmerston and Old Boys Clubs be asked for explanation re arriving late at Feilding. Referees' Association be asked to insist on all games to be started at the time appointed. The following will be the referees in Saturday's matches: — Senior—Kia Toa v. Palmerston, No. 1 ground, Mr Foote; Old Boys v. Hni Mai, at Awahuri, Mr W. H. McLean. , Junior— Feilding v. Kia Toa, at Feilding, Mr Thompson; Ashhurst v. Hui Mai, at Feilding, Mr Amos; Old Boys v. Palmerston, No. 2 Ground (3 o'clock), Mr Warden. Third Class—Kia Toa v. Old Boys, High School Ground (3 o'clock), Mr Cnchton.^^^ —
