9 More than ordinary excitement is being evinced in the first appearance of Messrs Meynell and Gunn's favourite dramatic organisation in Feilding, whilst the re-appearance of the famous; actor, Mr Harcourt Beatty, is causing quite a mild flutter in theatrical circles. The season, which commences at the Drill Hall on Wednesday, 29th, is limited to two nights only, with a change of plan each night. The Fatal Wedding will form the initial production, and the enormous success of this famous musical drama has been on the lips of most theatregoers, for eighteen months past. Striking, original, and sensational, is Messrs Meynell and Gunn's production of " The Fatal Wedding" claimed, to be. The enormous success of the play in the colonies is said to be without precedent in the history of Australian drama. Evidence of this is to be found in the j following paragraph from the Sydney ' Daily Telegraph, during the tenth week of the play's currency : — ; "Crowded audiences continue the rule at the Criterion Theatre, where Messrs Meynell and Gunn's company is playing ' The Fatal Wedding. On Saturday evening the sign ' house full' was displayed early. The scenes in which the children appear are invariably received with great interest, and this element is one of the many reasons for its success." Tbe plan for both nights will be opened at Messrs Milson and Coles, stationers, and those patrons reserving for both plays will receive priority in booking. Already numerous applications are being received from all parts.
