There was a large attendance, £10,---016 10s being put through the machines against £6373 10s on the opening day of the winter meeting last year, an increase of £3644. Dividends, £5 Is and £3 3s. _ Empire Handicap— Millie 1, Delania 2, Lucrece 3. Scratched : Syrene. Millie led all the way, and won a good race by a neck, with Lucrece a neck away third.
