Rugby Union to-night a letter was received from Hawke's Bay Union protesting against the Wairoa Sub-Union being attached to Gisborne. Consideration of the matter was deferred for a week. It was' decided that for the North and South Island match seventeen , men be picked for each team, allow- , ing an emergency back and forward. For the N.Z. team to visit Austra- ] lia, it was decided to send twenty-two ; men.
