TRAINING NOTES.
Wanganni, May 16. A number of visiting horses arrived in connection with the Wanganui J. C. Winter Meeting, to be held next week. The weather is beautifully fine, and the track is in good order. Tangitu -pat in half-pace work. Rangitoto wfta sent a couple of rounds over big fences, jumping splendidly. Barley did » solid round on the Slough, finishing at a good pace. St [illian did useful work on the plough. Irish Rifle galloped a mile. Le Vent covered a couple of circuits. Westward and Anecdote were restricted to slow work. Armistice and Anemone, associated in a mile gallop, the latter showing to most advantage. Te Kairiui jumped a couple of hurdles in the course of a round or two. Sedgemoor and Lydia had a flutter over 5 furlongß, the latter going surprisingly welH Signor and Guiding Step did medium-paced work. Lady Adair went amiss yesterday, and may not be able to Btart here.
