BRIDGETOWN, May 14. The steamer Thortil, from York to. Brazil, took fire and foundered in mid-ocean. The crew of 29 took four boats and sailed 870 miles, landing at the Barbadoes on the, eighth day. [Bridgetown is the capital of the Barbadoes, in the British West Indies, and has a population of 20,000.]
