STOCK REPORT. Invercargiil, April 9. The stock market continues to rule firm. Two-tooth ewes have been selling at from 18s 6d to 235, and a considerable number are changing hands. Wethers and sound-mouth-ed ewes continue in demand, the former at from 15s to 16s 6d, and the latter from 16s to 17s. Lambs are being keenly sought for by those who have plenty of feed, and the margin between stores and fats is practically nil. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Himitangi sale yesterday they had a full yarding of both sheep and cattle. A large number of buyers were present, and a good sale resulted, all the sheep being quitted at satisfactory values under the hammer.
