TECHNICAL SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the Feilding Technical School Committee was held last night. Mr W. Cornfoot was appointed to the chair, and there were about half a dozen members present. The report of the Director stated that the suggested alterations in the buildings had been agreed to by the Board's architect, and the Railway Department had been asked to allow the building to be placed 60ft from Kimbolton road, and that the frontage should face Kimbolton road. The Director had visited several districts during last month, with satisfactory results. If sufficient support was promised ys,earwiptgnion l amr B promised, a typewriting class would brt started. A machine had been provided by the Education Board, for the use of the Director. The opinion vas expressed that dairy instruction classes could be commenced at Bunnythorpe and Rongotea, and dressmaking classes at Kimbolton and Rongotea. The matter of getting estimates for furniture and fittings for the new Technical School building was left in the hands of the Director and Mr Stanton. Accounts amounting to £1 7b lid were passed for payment.
