Treasurer Kukais, of the Revenue Department, when driving in a carriage, escorted by two policemen and several officials, was attacked in the street. Three bombs were thrown iind several revolver shots fired, with the result that the driver, one official, and both policemen were killed The rubbers escaped with 15,000 roubles. 'I he treasurer and four others were wounded. The Novoe Vremya says that unless the Centre and Constitutional Demociats combine to stifle the revolution the dissolution of the Douma will be the only course open The Social Democrats, however, scout the idea of combining with political impressionists like the Constitutional Democrats. (Received March 12th, 8.21 a.m.) St. Petersburg, March 11. Russian official organs are politely hostile to Sir H. Campbell-Banner-man's limitation of armaments prol.osal. The Bourse Gazette and other inofficial newspapers emphasise that it is impossible for European states to limit their armaments while Germany pursues her Chauvinistic Policy.
