London, February 21. • The Great Eastern Railway Coy. s steamer Berlin, bound from Harwick, was wrecked , near Rotterdam, and driven ashore at five in the morning en Voorne Island. ' She quickly broke amidships, when tugs and life boats vainly tried to approach her.. Heavy seas, were running and prevented aid. . A few persons were still clinging to the wreck at noon, but the chances cf rescue are hopeless. The Berlin had J2O passengers, including Arthur Herbert, King's messenger, and 16 members of a German Opera Company from Covent Garden Theatre. The crew numbered 60, and only two have been saved. 26 bodies have been recovered.
