Owing to the Vatican's attitude to open past proposals, M Briand has arranged for a contract, enabling a pi iest to secure the lease of a church, for 18 years, the clergy being responsible for repairs. The benefit of the contract extends to any succession appointed by the Bishop. A satisfactory settlement is now more assured.
