POULTRY GRIEVANCE.

At a meeting of the. Winter Show Committee of the Manawatu A. and P. Association on Saturday, a deputation from the Manawatu Poultry Association made the following proposals : — (1) The annual show to be held in the A. and P. Hall in Cuba-street. (2) The A. and P. to supply all the necessary fittings and appurtenances. (3) The cost of painting and advertsing to be borne by both parties, the proportion to be subsequently* adjusted. (4) AH working expenses and all fees to be paid by the M.P. Association. (5) The M.P. Association to grant and appoint all judges and stewards. (6) The M.P. Association to be recognised as an independent and separate institution, and remain such. _ (7) The members of the M.P. Association to enjoy all the following privileges, viz., (a) right of entry to all parts of the ground, and stands during the annual show ; (b) the M.P. Association to have full control and manage the show ; (c) the M.P. Association to receive all fees and commissions, also one-fifth of the gate money ; (d) the M.P. Association to pay to the A. and P. for the use of the show hall, etc., an amount of money equal to 5 per cent of the M.P. Association's share of the gate money as aforesaid per diem during show days ; (c) the £4 4s to be returned to the M.P. Association. (8) This agreement to be terminable by nine months' notice on eithei side. It was decided unanimously, on the motion of Mr J. M. Johnson : "That this committee regrets that the proposals placed before it by the Committee of the A. and P. Accociation would so interfere with the general management of the Winter Show that it is unable to entertain them ; and seeing the necessity of at once issuing the Winter Show catalogues the proposal for further negotiaions cannot bo accepted."
