Owing to delay on the part of the Licensed Victuallers' Association and the Caterers' Association in filing objection to the recommendations of the Conciliation Board in the cooks 7 and waiters' dispute the recommendations have become an awaiti. Their reference was filed a day late. The employees are delighted at the Board's recommendations coming into force. The Arbitration Court to-day dismissed a charge against a firm of warehousemen of making up bespoke suits, there being no provision in the Tailoresses' award against letting out a bespoke order to a factory.
