DEFEATING NO-LICENSE.
[Pm Pbbss Association.] Invercargill, December 3 As a result of the new regulations, the Customs Department at InverCfigill have received instructions not tj issue any more permits for removal of beer to depots established by brewers just across the no-license boundary. This means that when the stocks in the depots are exhausted the brewers will have to remove to not less than five miles from the boundary. An application by a Dunedin firm for a permit has been refeixed to the head of the Department. Several disorderly scenes, resulting in Court cases, arose from sales of two gallon kegs, which went on till late hours of the night.
