Sweeper has been scratched for the Steeplechase and Canto, Cadenja, Warrate, and Bevalation for the Hurdles. The .Victorian Racing Club, in its annual report, submits several alterations of rules, including a stipulation that in the event of a dead heat in two-year-old events the race will not be run off, but the stake divided ; that the age identity of any horse foaled outside the Commonwealth must be established, otherwise. the horse and parties concerned may be disqualified.
