The Government have decided to carry out the Royal Commission's recommendation to pay certain contingenters who took part in the Boer War, the State as well as the Imperial pay. The Labour Conference resolved that neither the Federal nor the State Parliamentary Labour Party in future will enter into any alliance extending beyond life of the then existing Parliament, or to grant a promise of immunity from the Opposition at election time.
