Troops Promise to Join the Mutineers
Soldiers Fraternise with the Workmen * Received Deo 15, 8.22 a.m. St. Petersburg, Deo 14. The troops at Orel, Faahkand, and Kursk have promised to side with the Socialists when the final struggle with the Government begins. There is growing unrest amongst the troops generally. Four regiments in the Kazan district and others at Kielce have mutinied. The garrison at Odessa is largely composed of reservists, who demand their immediate discharge and ten pounds each. Many soldiers in Moscow attended a revolutionary meeting, fraternising with and accompanying the workmen's processions.
