The Herald, commenting on the New Zealand elections, said the result placed beyond doubt the hold the Seddon Administration has on the Colony. The logic of numbers bas proved so irresistible that the bitterest opponents of Mr Seddon have to admit their failure to read the thoughts of the country. The Telegraph says Mr Seddon bas overwhelmed his political enemies almost as completely as the New Zealand footballers have overwhelmed their opponents, and inflicted a defeat which has practically annihilated the New Liberal Party, and cut it down in the flower of its youth. Adelaide, This Day. The Premier cabled his congratulations to Mr Seddon on his victory.
