WEATHER IN THE SOUTH.

Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright Dunedin, September 3. The weather cleared up considerably in the early morning, and today there were only showers of driving mist, which did not last many seconds. Although all the low-lying sections in St. Kildaand South Dunedin were covered with sheets of water the damage done is trifling. On the railways numerous email slipß were caused by the penetrating rain, but none were serious. The rivers and creeks are running bank high, but as the weather is clearing no danger is anticipated. The misty weather is interfering with the shipping, and several steamers are waiting at the heads.
