About 1000 persona gathered round the Oval in the Show Ground a£ Palmerston on Saturday to witness tbg pbove match. The ground was very we^ pools of water laying about the field. The first spell ended without any score, but during the second spell McNae scored, uo goal resulting. Furrie was the next to score, the kick at goal again failing. Then Hewitt added another try to Manawatu'a credit, the game ending Manawatu 9, Hawke's Bay 0.
