Otago v. Southland.

Dunedin, August 26. The return match, Southland v. Otago, was played to-day in beautiful weather, before about 5000 spectators. The game resulted in a win for Otago by 11 points to 3. Southland first scored a try, Morton crossing the line. Otago then scored three tries through the agency of Mclntyre, Bennett and Gilray, one of which was converted. W. Bailey, one of the Otago play ers, met with a serious accident, and there ia little hope of his recovery. In a scramble Bailey was turned over and two men fell en top of him, injuring hia spine. It is intended to use the X Rays tfith the hope of finding the extent of the injury, and possibly an operation may follow.
