REVOLUTION IN RUSSIA.
♦ Naval Rebels to be Shot and Imprisoned. More Strike Riots. Telegraph Press Association Cocvneht Bt. Petersburg, August 26. As a sequel to the Russian naval revolt, 138 sailors were oourtmartialled at Libau. Eight were sentenced to be shot and nineteen to imprisonment with hard labour. An inspection of the barracks afc Lodz revealed in the Cloneaki Regiment's possession, many Jewish and Polish proclamations. As a consequence, 150 Polish and Jewish soldiers have been transferred to Lomza, the regimental depot. Sanguinary disturbances have occurred at Seidice, and two dynamite explosions at Sonoiviee in connection with a strike raised in protest against the Czar's manifesto. The grain export trade from the Russian Black Seaports is paralysed, the Government retaining the rolling stock. Wheat and rye are dearer at Odessa than at London. It is expected the bulk accumulated alongside the railways will be required for the famine-strioken ipeople. A Russian Navy League is in course of formation. As a result of the Czar's edict of April 30th, an immense number of former Jews have re-embraced Judauism .including the whole of the village of Astrachan.
