MACMAHON'S DRAMATIC COMPANY.
The piece selected by the Messrs 1 Macmahon for presentation on Fri- ! day, 27th inst., is Mr Geo. DarrelPs far-famed play in five acts " The Sunny South," which enjoys the distinction of being the only typioal Australian stage story that has ever had a substantial run in London. The Greymouth Argus, speaking of [ a recent performance, says : — " Mr ! George Darrell scored nothing short of a triumph last evening in his own own Australian play ' The Sunny i South.' The audience waß one of ■ the largest that has ever been packed within the large Opera House. ' The Sunuy South ' was well chosen for the opening night, and the scenes [ depicted had a special interest to this part of the Colony. Mr DarreU's delightful performance of the hero, Mat Morley, is more than likely to live in the memory of those who had 1 the privilege of seeing him." The box plan is now open at Milson and ' Coles'.
