Many were injured, but none seriously. A Railway Disaster Averted. Hobart, This Day. While a race train with 200 passengers aboard was standing in a siding near the city, a local train, through an error in the points, dashed into it. The smart use of the vacuum brakes prevented a serious disaster. A number of the passengers were somewhat severely knocked about, but no one was dangerously injured. Several officials have been suspended.
