STORM AT GISBORNE.

The Wanaka arrived at 11 last night, and proceeded to Auckland at .1.30 this afternoon, being unable to work the port. The Herald, going north, managed to work some of the coastal • ports, but could not connect with the East Island lighthouse. She remains at Te Araroa • until the morning. ' The Tarawera is reported off the 1 coast ploughing through a head sea. She is due at 6.30 to-night, when it is thought she will be tendered.
